We recently returned from the Totem Rail Explorer. What a trip! - by coach, ferry, train (and Ice Explorer) - the Inside Passage, the Skeena, the Rockies, and topped off with two days of GoldLeaf luxury on the Rocky Mountaineer. All the arrangements went like clockwork, and every representative of the company we encountered, from coach drivers to train attendants, were unfailingly friendly and helpful. The Rocky Mountaineer train journey from Jasper to Vancouver, which spanned 2 days and included an overnight stay in a hotel in Kamloops, was spectacular. If the train driver spotted any wildlife like bald eagles, bears, mountain goats etc., he would slow down for the benefit of the photographers amongst us! What an excellent service! I am certain that the tour is one of the biggest event of my life and hope someday we''ll meet your staff on the Mountaineer again.

The view from the GoldLeaf dome car was amazing. There were a few elderly passengers onboard including a disable person. The staff were very attentive and really took good care of this individual. The food was excellent in GoldLeaf Service, much better than what we have on our trains in Japan. There was a nice selection of salads, appetizers and main entrees to choose from.
