A triple win in the UK - Rocky Mountaineer Railtours wins “Canadian Supplier of the Year” at the Canada Travel Awards in London, England, “Best Long Haul Rail Operator” at the Selling Long Haul Travel Awards (a trade magazine for UK travel agents) and a trip on the Rocky Mountaineer is listed on a BBC television program entitled, “50 things to do before you die.” |

The North American Travel Journalists Association names Rocky Mountaineer Vacations, “Best Rail Tour Company” in 2005 and again in 2006. In 2000, NATJA had named the Rocky Mountaineer “Best Attraction.”
Popular North American publication, Outside Magazine lists the Rocky Mountaineer as “one of the great train rides in the world.”
For the first time, Rocky Mountaineer Vacations wins a prestigious 2005 World Travel Award as “World’s Leading Travel Experience By Train.” The company receives this accolade again in 2006. |

For the fifth year in a row Rocky Mountaineer Vacations is a winner in the category for Best Long Haul Rail Operator in the Selling Long Haul "Travel Awards 2006.”
Presented by the Cariboo Chilcotin Coast Tourism Association, the company receives the “President’s Award” which recognizes an organization that has made a significant contribution to promoting tourism throughout the region.
At the 2006 Annual COTA Tourism British Columbia Awards, RMV wins the “Employees First Award” as a BC tourism employer who has upheld high standards of excellence in human resource management.
Armstrong Group, the parent company of Rocky Mountaineer Vacations, was honoured by “Rock, Paper, Scissors” in their 3rd Annual Humour in the Workplace Awards (sponsored by Vancity) for its commitment to communication and fun. |

Rocky Mountaineer Vacations receives three awards at the annual COTA Tourism British Columbia Awards. The company was recognized with the Best Tourism Marketing Campaign Award for the highly successful "What's in the Box" marketing campaign which promoted the Whistler Mountaineer. The Foresight Sustainability Award demonstrated that RMV is an industry leader in the development, implementation and advocacy of innovative and sustainable tourism policies and programs. And thirdly, Peter Armstrong, President and CEO was recognized as the Tourism Industry Leader of the Year.
Rocky Mountaineer Vacations was chosen as Canadian Supplier of the Year at the 18th Annual British Annual Canada Travel Awards, held in London, England. The company received this same award in 2003. The UK represents over 25% of RMV’ worldwide market. |
