This year, park the family mini-van and take an unforgettable journey close to home onboard a train – right out of the pages of a children’s storybook. The Whistler Mountaineer is a daily journey between North Vancouver and Whistler, BC and offers an experience that pleases adults and children alike. From now until July 19, 2008, a family of four can book a round-trip journey onboard the Whistler Mountaineer’s Coast Classic Experience for only $349. The Family Pack, a limited time offer is available to BC Residents and is valid for travel until October 19, 2008.

The Whistler Mountaineer train offers northbound and southbound departures, seven days a week and features stunning views of BC’s Sea to Sky region. Families enjoy that extra time spent together as someone else does the driving. The train also offers an opportunity to travel in comfort, with meals served at your seat and the ability to move around at leisure. Onboard Attendants add to the experience by attending to guests’every need while providing fascinating commentary on the region. The Whistler Mountaineer Family Pack features a round-trip rate of $349 for two adults and two children (2-11 years old) in the Coast Classic Experience. Guests enjoy a traditional rail coach with large picture windows and assigned seating. Access to the unique Heritage Observation Car gives all guests an up-close and personal view of the breathtaking scenery. Prices include meal service in both directions and transportation from downtown Vancouver to the North Vancouver rail terminus and from the Whistler rail station to Whistler Village.
